About Gaunt Engineers, Inc.
Gaunt Engineers, Inc. is the continuation of an organization that has provided Engineering and Surveying Services to South Arkansas for many years. The name of the firm was changed to Gaunt Engineers, Inc. in February of 1984, when William R. Gaunt purchased the El Dorado Office.
Since its inception, the firm has specialized in working with municipalities in South Arkansas. Engineering Services, which have been provided, include:
· Water distribution and treatment systems
· Sewage collection and treatment systems
· Streets and storm drainage systems
· Airports
· Solid waste collection and landfill design
· Recreational facilities
The firm has in-house capabilities for preparation of environmental assessments; for making application for the various State and Federal funding agencies; and ultimately for the design and construction observation of the projects. Over the years the firm has dealt with and is familiar with the various Federal and State agencies including the:
· USDA/Rural Development
· Arkansas Department of Economic Development
· Arkansas Soil & Water Conservation Commission
· Economic Development Administration
· Arkansas Department of Environmental of Quality
· Arkansas Health Department
Because Gaunt Engineers, Inc. is a local firm, the firm can provide a much more responsive service than those firms who are further away. The firm was founded in South Arkansas so that the firm could provide a high quality and economical service to South Arkansas. This is still a major goal of the firm.
